Behaviour
Behaviour at St Matthew's CE Primary School
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11
At St Matthew's, we aim to develop the whole child, giving them the knowledge and skills to be successful in whatever path they choose to follow. As part of that, it is important that children learn how to respect themselves, others, and the world around them.
Our School Rules
Kind hands, Kind words, Kind actions
Kind hands – we keep our hands and feet to ourselves, we tidy up after ourselves, we help our community, we look after our own and others’ property
Kind words – we say things that make others smile, we say sorry when we make a mistake, we always tell the truth, we say please and thank you
Kind actions – we hold doors open for others, we help one another to learn, we listen to others when they are speaking, we walk sensibly around the school, we wear the correct uniform
These rules help us to be happy at school and show respect for one another.
